I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, and a faculty member of the Ecology, Evolution and Conservation Biology (EECB) graduate program at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). I recently moved to Reno from the Mathematical Biosciences Institute (MBI) and in the Aquatic Ecology Laboratory (AEL) at Ohio State University.
My research integrates techniques from the fields of dynamical systems, probability, stochastic processes and statistics to develop and analyze mathematical models motivated by questions in population ecology, infectious disease and immunology. I also pursue interesting mathematical questions that emerge from these applications.
