My research:

• Modelling the mechanical properties of biological gels (such as collagen) used in tissue engineering (with Keith Gooch and Rich Hart, Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, OSU; and Avner Friedman, MBI)
• Modelling cells' interaction with the extracellular matrix in tissue engineering (with Keith Gooch, Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, OSU)
• Modelling cell aggregation in liver tissue engineering (with Helen Byrne and Sarah Waters, University of Nottingham, UK)
• Development of non-local models for hepatocyte-stellate cell interactions (with Helen Byrne and Sarah Waters, University of Nottingham, UK; and Leah Edelstein-Keshet, University of British Columbia, Canada)
• Fluid flows in channels with compliant walls, taken as a simple model for blood flow through arterio-venous malformations in the brain (with Frank Smith, University College London)
